Head of Social & Content Location: London Reporting to: Founders and Leadership Team Komodo Komodo is a social agency that lives by the mantra Never Do Normal. This role is an exciting chance to shape how our clients show up on social and to lead from the front, scaling a high performance social & content team in our London HQ office. We work with a wide range of clients, specialising in Beauty, Fashion, Lifestyle, Travel, F&B and Hospitality. The Role Komodo is looking for a Head of Social & Content to lead the strategic and creative delivery of social strategy, management & content campaigns for our clients. You will be the senior leader and owner of social thinking across the agency, responsible for setting and delivering social-first strategies that drive real results for brands. Content sits underneath social as an executional discipline, and a deep understanding of social-first content is imperative for this role. Your job is to ensure every piece of work we deliver is platform native, culturally relevant, and commercially effective. This is a client-facing leadership role for someone who can confidently shape social strategy, pitch & win new business, and lead teams to deliver at the highest level. What you will be responsible for: Social-first leadership • Own the social strategy output across all client accounts; working with the leadership team to build, pitch & win new business., • Act as Komodo’s senior social lead in client relationships, pitches, and presentations, • Be the eyes and ears of social & content for our clients, understanding platforms, culture, formats, and behaviour shifts, • Build social strategies that are clear, actionable, and rooted in how platforms actually work. Be in tune with industry & platform trends, changes & inner workings., • Ensure social thinking leads every project, with content feeding in as the delivery mechanism, • Be a confident & inspiring leader to your team, encouraging them to grow and deliver at the highest level. Strategy, pitching & growth • Lead and sell social-first thinking across new business and organic client growth, • Confidently pitch social strategies, content ecosystems, and social IP to senior client stakeholders, • Translate client objectives into social approaches that deliver against awareness, engagement, and performance goals, • Work closely with leadership to grow social media & content services across the agency, hitting annual revenue targets to ensure business momentum and division success., • Social & content delivery excellence; a deep knowledge of both organic and paid social to be able to deliver strategies that utilise a full social & content eco-system., • Balance creative ambition with performance, insight, and data Team leadership & development • Lead and develop social and content team, focused on client delivery & exceptional work., • Set clear expectations, processes, ways of working, and standards across disciplines, • Mentor team members with weekly meetings & clear career progression plans, to help build confident, commercially aware social thinkers, • Work closely with other department heads to ensure joined-up delivery across the agency, considering specifically how departments work together across clients. Content & design expertise • Be a deep expert in social-first content styles and formats across platforms, • Have experience of producing a variety of content themes across different platforms. Understand how content is delivered from ideation through to execution and post production., • Ensure content ideas are truly social-first, that they are built for social environments, not adapted after the fact. Push teams to create work that feels native, timely, and relevant, • Oversee design delivery from a leadership and process perspective. Ensure briefs, workflows, and quality control are clear and effective What we are looking for: • 8+ years agency experience with relevant industries, • Proven experience leading social teams and delivering social-first work for globally renowned clients, • Deep, practical understanding of social platforms, formats, and culture, • Strong experience building and presenting organic & paid social strategies, • Commercial mindset, working to financial targets with a clear focus on outcomes, • Experience working collaboratively across social, content, influencer, and events, • High standards, accountability, great energy & a people first person What Komodo Offer 💰 A benchmarked salary reflective of your experience and in line with our salary bandings. 🏢 Hybrid working.
