Role: SEND Teaching Assistant Key Stage 1 Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Full-time, Temporary (April to May Half-Term) Salary: £93 - £105 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications) About the role Heart of Supply is delighted to be advertising this SEND Teaching Assistant Key Stage 1 position within a large primary academy in Lincoln. As a SEND Teaching Assistant Key Stage 1, you will be supporting a small group of children who have a range of needs including non verbal autism, global delay and learning difficulties. This full time temporary role begins in April 2026 and runs through to May Half Term, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who benefit greatly from patient, consistent and compassionate support. What you will need: • Experience supporting children in a school, nursery, or education-based setting, • Clear, professional communication and a proactive, reliable attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff, • A minimum of 6 weeks’ experience working with children in a similar setting in the UK, • A kind, confident, and calm approach, with a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed, • The ability to follow a teacher’s lead while using your initiative to support individuals and small groups, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Experience supporting children with additional needs would be advantageous, • A flexible and proactive attitude, ready to step into different classrooms and year groups We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
