Strong understanding of the UK political, regulatory and stakeholder landscape, with an established network across relevant government, regulatory and industry bodies. Experience engaging with UK regulators and policymakers and influencing policy or regulatory agendas. Strong spokesperson and external representation skills, with the ability to develop compelling narratives and communicate with credibility and confidence. The ability to operate as a senior stakeholder influencer , advising, challenging and partnering with senior leaders. Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to understand complex business priorities and translate them into effective public affairs strategies. Excellent project leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to take initiatives from concept through to execution. Experience managing complex, cross-functional or multi-market projects with clarity, structure and pace. A highly hands-on and delivery-focused approach, someone who enjoys turning strategy into action rather than simply setting the direction. Experience within a regulated and/or publicly listed business, particularly in technology, telecommunications, consumer services or a related sector , would be advantageous. Experience of legislative or policy development within Parliament, government or a relevant regulatory authority would also be beneficial.
