About this Role: Our client is looking for a Site Manager to work on a new project just outside of Southampton. This project will be working on high - volume housing developments . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager. The role will suit someone that wants to work for a residential developer. You will need to be a career-driven individual who is looking for a Site Manager role with a company that have great stability. You will need to have impeccable communication skills, as the client is seeking an individual that is able to talk to sub-contractors and key stakeholders within the business. The Role: Manage the day to day running of the development and provide clear direction to those working on the construction site regarding their responsibilities and targets. Manage and implement health and safety procedures, working closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers and ensure that that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered too. Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff, providing toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support as required to improve performance Ensure site presentation is always maintained at the correct standard Deliver all aspects of production requirements in strict accordance with relevant technical and planning documentation provided and any subsequent instructions that may be necessary from time to time Fully conform to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements (NHBC, LABC Services). Ensure accurate production/progress returns are updated and sent to the Construction Manager and/or Construction Director as requested Ensure that adequate site records are maintained including but not limited to Site Managers reports, labour requirements, plant, materials, site inductions and health and safety records. Thoroughly inspect and ensure any remedial work is completed in advance of each NHBC key stage inspection About the Company/Client/Project: The client is an award-winning company that has been building communities across the South Coast for several decades. Requirements including certificates and qualifications: GCSE Maths and English - Grade C or above (or equivalent) Valid CSCS card at Site Manager level (or equivalent). Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support project deliverable and regulatory submissions. Manage and resolve any contract-related disputes or issues that may arise during the project life cycle. What they are looking for: Experience in passive fire, contract management or a related discipline, preferably within the engineering or construction industry. Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and risk management principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload, and manage multiple priorities effectively. Self-motivated and a good team player, demonstrating professionalism, positivity, and productivity. Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft software.
