You will support clients with management accounts, bookkeeping and financial reporting, while building strong working relationships and identifying opportunities to add value.\n\nYou will be responsible for processing and reviewing financial data, preparing management information, and assisting with statutory accounts preparation. The role will also involve supporting clients with accounting systems and collaborating closely with colleagues across tax, payroll and wider business services teams. Key responsibilities:\n\nManaging day to day relationships with a portfolio of outsourcing clients\n\t\nPreparing management accounts and financial reporting information\n\t\nProcessing bank transactions, journals and ledger entries\n\t\nMaintaining sales and purchase ledgers and reconciling accounts\n\t\nAssisting with statutory accounts preparation\n\t\nSupporting clients with accounting software and finance processes\n\t\nWorking closely with internal departments on client matters\n\t\nIdentifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients\n\t\nEnsuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines \n\nThe successful Management Accountant will have:\n\nACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, PQ also considered\n\t\nAt least 2 years’ UK practice outsourcing experience\n\t\nStrong management accounts and bookkeeping knowledge\n\t\nGood understanding of UK accounting standards\n\t\nExcellent communication and client relationship skills\n\t\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail\n\t\nExperience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks\n\t\nAbility to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively\n\t\nConfident approach to problem solving and process improvement\n\nHowett Thorpe are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role and comply with all relevant UK legislation and do not discriminate on any protected characteristics.
