We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential care home in North West London. This is an opportunity to take full operational responsibility for a home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring high-quality care delivery in line with regulatory standards and best practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability, sound knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, and a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. Key Responsibilities • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements., • Provide effective leadership, supervision, and performance management to the staff team., • Ensure the home operates in accordance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards., • Promote a therapeutic, child-centred culture that prioritises safeguarding and wellbeing., • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement matching., • Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively., • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, families, and external professionals., • Lead inspections and implement continuous improvement strategies to achieve positive inspection outcomes. Essential Requirements • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within a children’s residential setting, • Strong working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and regulatory frameworks, • Experience managing Ofsted inspections, • Demonstrable leadership and staff development skills, • Full UK driving licence Desirable • Experience supporting young people with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties), • Proven record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” inspection outcomes, • Therapeutic or trauma-informed practice training Personal Attributes • Resilient and emotionally intelligent, • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, • High level of professional integrity, • Ability to balance compliance, care quality, and commercial performance What We Offer • Competitive salary package, • Performance-related bonus, • Ongoing professional development, • Supportive senior leadership structure, • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), • Pension scheme Safeguarding Statement We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
