The Maths department is a key strength within the school, with a focus on delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and achieving strong outcomes across all key stages. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3-5, • Lead the development of Statistics within the department (KS4 & KS5), • Work closely with the Head of Maths to support teaching, learning, and assessment, • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of schemes of work, • Monitor and track student progress using data to drive improvement, • Support and develop colleagues, sharing best practice across the department, • Contribute to departmental leadership, including behaviour management and daily operations, • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with a particular strength in Statistics, • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS4/KS5 desirable), • Ability to lead or contribute to curriculum development, • Proven ability (or clear potential) to raise student attainment, • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills Academics are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants will be subject to a full face- to-face registration and an Enhanced DBS (Formerly known as CRB).
