Legal Secretary - Residential/Commercial Property \n\n • Location: York City Centre\n, • Job Type: Full-Time\n, • Salary: £29,460\n, • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with an hour lunch (Part Time considered)\n\n Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for a role in a company that truly values its staff, evidenced by incredibly low staff turnover and office dogs that add a touch of joy to the workplace? \n We are excited to offer a position at a leading law firm that is seeking a Legal Secretary to support a commercial property Fee Earner due to expansion of workload. \n Day-to-day of the role: \n\n • Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.\n, • File Management: Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.\n, • Client Communication: Handle client inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage correspondence.\n, • Diary Management: Manage calendars for solicitors, including scheduling meetings.\n, • Audio Typing: Transcribe dictations and audio recordings accurately and efficiently.\n, • Billing and Invoicing: Assist with the preparation of bills and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.\n, • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including photocopying, filing, and data entry.\n, • Legal Applications: Complete land registry applications and SDLT returns.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in commercial or residential property.\n, • Preferred: Proficiency in audio typing with a high level of accuracy and speed.\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software.\n, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.\n, • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.\n, • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.\n\n Benefits: \n\n • Very Competitive salary.\n, • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas off (not taken out of your allowance).\n, • Pension scheme.\n, • Opportunities for professional development.\n, • Friendly and supportive work environment.\n
