From preparing the business case and advising on related issues — such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation — to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy. \nOverview of role\n You’ll be a senior member of the team, leading the growth and development of our Information Management capability within Birmingham office. You’ll be responsible for growth targets, pipeline of work, training and development of the team whilst promoting the capability and service offering of the Information Management account. \n The Information Management account is a team of 40+ digital consultants driving digital transformation on all our major projects, mostly based in Croydon and London with aspirations of increasing our footprint. \n Outside of the leadership responsibilities, you’ll act as project lead driving digital transformation on major infrastructure projects. You’ll be involved with the development of strategies, planning of processes and implementation of tools to improve major project delivery. Sometimes this might be working directly with our clients, other times this might be supporting our internal delivery projects. \n You will be an advocate for digital ways of working, a promoter of good information management and comfortable working closely with our clients to share our experience. \nResponsibilities\n Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): \n\n • Successful management of the client relationship, managing feedback, managing scope change and client expectations\n, • Responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered successfully for the client and for Mott MacDonald, technically, commercially, and financially\n, • Growth and development of the Birmingham team\n, • Leading the technical delivery of consultancy services\n, • Delivery of a programme of technical solutions as agreed with the client\n, • Compliance with the Mott MacDonald management, quality, safety and environmental system requirements\n, • Coordinate and manage contract requirements (industry standard & bespoke contracts)\n, • Identification and management of the project delivery teams\n, • A degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (or equivalent)\n, • Experience project managing multi-disciplinary projects, ideally within transport and using the ISO 19650 suite of standards\n, • Appetite and experience of management, growth and development of teams\n, • Familiarity with industry standard tools and technologies used during the delivery phase\n, • Strong communication, team working and problem‑solving skills\n, • Private medical insurance for all UK colleagues.\n, • Health cash plan to support you with everyday health costs and treatments.\n, • Access to Peppy, providing free support from menopause experts for all UK colleagues.\n, • A variety of wellbeing support is available through our comprehensive wellbeing program, including access for you and your family.\n, • We match employee pension contributions between 4.5% and 7%.\n, • Life assurance equal up to 4× your basic salary, with an option to increase the level of cover to 6× your salary.\n, • Our income protection scheme provides a financial benefit, as well as absence and return to work support due to long‑term illness or injury.\n, • Flexible benefits, including increased life assurance cover, critical illness insurance, payroll saving and will writing.\n, • A minimum of 33–35 days holiday each year, inclusive of public holidays and dependent on level, with the ability to buy or sell leave through our flexible benefits programme.\n, • Holiday entitlement increased to a minimum of 35 days after 5 years’ service.\n, • Enhanced family leave policies, including 26 weeks paid maternity and adoption leave, and two weeks paid paternity/partner leave.\n, • Our shared parental leave matches maternity leave meaning we pay up to 24 weeks at full pay.\n, • Primary annual professional institution subscription.\n
