    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at Care Oasis, we are a new 4 bedded therapeutic care home in the heart of Hertfordshire, Watford specialising in supporting Children with EBD AND LD. In this rewarding role, you will provide high quality, child centred care and confidently lead shifts, helping to create a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment where children can thrive. Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, you will ensure that each child's views, wishes and feelings are heard, their individual plans are delivered effectively, and their development, confidence, independence and social skills are actively supported. Skills and Experience • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is highly desirable and will be given priority during the shortlisting process. Candidates who do not yet hold the qualification but have relevant residential childcare experience and are willing to work towards the qualification may also be considered., • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting., • Experience leading shifts, supporting colleagues and promoting positive outcomes for children., • Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to manage challenging situations professionally., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills., • Ability to remain calm, resilient and solution-focused under pressure., • Strong record keeping and IT skills., • A child centred, compassionate and proactive approach to care., • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and relationship-based care., • Full UK driving licence preferred.

With approximately 120 employees, we are looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Payroll and Accounts Officer to manage our payroll and day-to-day finance functions. This role would particularly suit an experienced payroll manager, finance officer, bookkeeper, or retired/semi-retired accountant seeking a rewarding and flexible part-time position. Key Responsibilities • Manage weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 120 employees, • Ensure accurate PAYE, National Insurance, pension, and HMRC submissions., • Administer workplace pensions and auto-enrolment., • Process staff expenses and travel claims., • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers., • Raise invoices and reconcile customer payments., • Carry out bank reconciliations., • Monitor cash flow, debtor balances, and credit control., • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports., • Liaise with the external accountant regarding month-end and year-end accounts., • Maintain accurate payroll and financial records., • Ensure compliance with HMRC, employment legislation, and financial procedures., • Identify opportunities to improve payroll and financial processes. Essential Requirements • At least 5 years' experience in payroll and accounts., • Strong knowledge of PAYE, RTI, pensions, and HMRC regulations., • Experience using payroll and accounting software such as BrightPay, Xero, or QuickBooks., • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills., • High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail., • Excellent organisational and communication skills., • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Desirable • AAT qualification or equivalent., • Experience within the health or social care sector., • Knowledge of payroll for shift workers and variable-hour employees.
