Department: Support Reports To: Application Software Support Manager Location: Remote Salary: £55k - £60k /yr (depending on experience) Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time Role Summary We're looking for an experienced full-stack .NET developer to join our team in a new and exciting role. This role will initially be supporting an array of clients, helping our support team to continue to provide an excellent service, whilst maintaining their award-winning systems to ensure reliability. In time, this role is expected to expand to support other additional clients as we introduce 'Managed Services' to our portfolio of service offerings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling escalations by our support team, developing and maintaining software applications that meet business needs and delivering exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities • Act as an escalation point for the technical support team, resolving complex issues that require advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving., • Diagnose and resolve software-related problems efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption for customers., • When changes are required: analyse, scope, design, develop and test fixes and updates to existing products - following Agile principles and processes, working with the customer/product owner where applicable., • Collaborate with support staff to provide guidance and share best practices for handling technical challenges., • Document solutions and contribute to the knowledge base to improve future support processes., • When support demand is low, assist with other development projects, including coding, testing, and implementing new features or enhancements., • Maintain a strong understanding of QWARE products and underlying technologies to deliver expert-level support. Essential Skills & Experience • Proficiency in C# .NET software development., • Comfortable working on backend (e.g. API) web services, as well as Front-end (UX, Blazor predominantly) web services., • Experience in cloud-based development, solutions and architectures, preferably on Azure., • Strong understanding of software design principles, testing methodologies and Git version control., • Strong skills in database management and familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases., • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills., • Knowledge Microsoft Azure cloud services. Desirable • Knowledge and experience of Blazor (ASP.Net Core) development., • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft App Services, SQL, Cosmos DB and Azure DevOps. Position summary We are seeking a qualified Electrician to support drone-based electroluminescence (EL) inspection work across commercial and utility-scale solar sites. The role involves isolating and energising PV strings, connecting biasing equipment, and ensuring all electrical tasks are completed safely and to industry standards. This is a field-based position suited to someone who is technically skilled, safety-focused, and comfortable working in outdoor and utility-scale environments. The role will involve frequent travel within the UK and internationally. What you’ll do You will prepare PV arrays for EL inspections by safely isolating circuits, configuring electrical test equipment, and supporting drone pilot on-site. You will also read schematics to select the required tools and evaluate the complexity of the inspection, complete pre- and post- inspection documentation, and troubleshoot electrical or communication issues in the filed as needed. You will ensure that all electrical works are compliant with BS 7671 and site specific requirements. This is primarily a field-based role and can involve early morning starts, evening and night work, and travel with overnight stays. Full training will be provided on the method of electrical biasing for EL inspection. You will also be involved in training electrical technicians from our partners in other countries to perform the inspection. There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to receive full training in becoming a drone pilot and supporting on additional inspection flights. What you’ll bring • A BS 7671 18th Edition qualification (or 17th edition with willingness to upgrade), • A recognised Solar PV installation certificate, • At least two years’ experience working with or fitting solar systems, • Strong understanding of PV module layout, string configuration, and solar farm electrical architecture., • You should be confident with wiring, earthing, DC systems, basic networking, and working at heights., • Good communication skills and ability to work within a field team under time-critical project schedules., • Ability to work with Microsoft Office products and complete necessary documentation., • Willingness to travel frequently,, • A full clean driving licence, clear background check, and strong initiative, communication, and time-management skills are essential,, • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor electrical technicians.
