Salary Range - Between £28,000 - £34,000 Job Details Solace is the leading membership organisation for local government and public sector professionals across the UK with a network of 1,700 members. The Solace offer spans a range of important and impactful offerings including an active Policy arm, sector-specific recruitment, industry-leading learning and development programmes, and of course our infamous events. We have some ambitious plans for the future, and in order to deliver, we're looking for an enthusiastic Individual to join the wider Engagement team to help us bring our vision to life. Principal Responsibilities · To design alongside the Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland branch a series of events to promote and assist with Membership engagement. · To work alongside the Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland Branch to ascertain there needs and requirements of support for membership. · Provide an efficient, top quality, client focused service to customers and potential customers. · Develop and Maintain the Business Partners Programme, to include delivery of their schedule of activities · Design, Develop, Recruit to the development programmes and subsequent project management of delivery . Office Administration including answering phone and managing email inbox. · Updating CRM system and website with correct events information · Manage bookings and keep accurate attendance records. · Manage budgets of development programmes. · Prepare course branded materials and handouts prior to events. · Issuing joining instructions to delegates prior to events. · Keep colleagues updated with booking numbers for events and highlight where more bookings are required. · Work alongside the marketing team to promote courses and events through marketing mailers and social media – including the Solace Podcast launch and promotion. · Generate reports and analyse customer feedback. · Book staff / speaker / facilitator travel and accommodation as required. · Issuing contracts for Clients and Associates. · Provide onsite support at events as required. · Manage the recording, launch and budgets for Solace – Local Government Stories Podcast – Booking guests, venues, travel and accommodation where required. Key Relationships/Contacts Post holders are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues within the Group, partner agencies and other organisations for the delivery of excellent integrated services for our customers. All staff will be collaborative and flexible in their duties, modelling the Group's core values and standards in carrying out the job. In addition, all employees will: · Contribute to a coordinated approach to the development and overall direction of the Group and the delivery of its priorities. · Act as an ambassador for the Solace Group and Solace in Business, promoting and developing the Group's image and opportunities in the interests of its membership, and stakeholders. · Carry out any other duties (across the wider Group where appropriate and/or necessary) that are commensurate with the grade and falling within the general scope of the job. Person Specification · Good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages; including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft SharePoint · Knowledge of social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn and Twitter and knowledge of marketing automation software. · Experience in events is preferred but not essential but post holders must be able to monitor multiple projects · Results orientated, with a track record of delivering on time, together with the ability to drive and complete tasks to challenging deadlines and required quality standards. Skills & Abilities · Organised with the ability to establish, monitor and maintain office systems and processes, with attention to detail. · Good administrative skills and excellent customer service skills. · Ability to work individually and as part of a team. · Ability to manage own workload and to meet deadlines. · Can do attitude willing to contribute to activity outside of core job role and to support other Solace activities which may include travel and working away from the office. · A professional manner and attitude, able to remain calm under pressure, and adapt to change.
