The Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced R&D Engineer to drive products and innovations from prototype to production. In this position, you will be based out of our Sheffield office along with other R&D scientists and engineers both from Southern Scientific and the LabLogic Group. You will be responsible for developing a range of exciting and innovative R&D projects. You will be an essential member of the R&D team, delivering cutting-edge engineering projects, pioneering industry-leading technology, and working in an agile engineering team requiring a multiskilled approach whilst ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. You will also attend industry-specific conferences aimed at further developing your knowledge of the industry's ongoing work and the challenges our customers are currently facing that we can assist with. Responsibilities • Execution of technical tasks in a deadline-orientated manner, • Working in partnership with product specialists to define requirements specifications for new products, • Developing and implementing new electronic hardware and embedded firmware solutions in line with product requirements, • Taking ownership of the design and development of new electronic hardware and firmware solutions, working with other team members to manage integration, collaborate on problem-solving and provide mutual peer review, • Carrying out testing and evaluation of all new product developments to ensure robust and comprehensive hardware and firmware solutions, • Carrying out engineering work in line with company procedures based on industry-recognised quality standards, • Supporting other engineers and collaborating to create a cohesive design, • Applying proper project management processes and complete documentary records for safekeeping and traceability The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate. PPC Campaign Planning & Execution • Develop and deliver comprehensive PPC strategies across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, and other relevant paid channels., • Plan, build, and optimise campaigns covering search, shopping, display, paid social, and remarketing activity., • Work closely with creative, analytics, and web teams to ensure seamless execution and landing page alignment., • Conduct keyword research, audience analysis, competitor benchmarking, and ongoing testing to improve performance., • Monitor campaign health daily and proactively optimise bids, budgets, targeting, and ad creative to maximise ROI. Reporting & Insight • Prepare and present clear, insightful PPC performance reports highlighting spend, conversions, CPA, ROAS, and strategic recommendations., • Translate complex paid media data into actionable insights and next steps for clients., • Continuously test and experiment with ad formats, messaging, audiences, and bidding strategies to drive incremental improvements., • Stay up to date with platform changes, new features, and industry best practices — communicating implications to both clients and internal teams. Account Growth & Retention • Build strong, trusted client relationships through transparency, performance focus, and strategic guidance., • Identify opportunities to expand account scope through additional channels, testing initiatives, or increased investment., • Support pitch, proposal, and renewal activity for existing and prospective clients. The family court process can be incredibly stressful and at times re-traumatising for families. We want to do things differently. Our trauma-informed approach to assessments centres a focus on adversity, social determinants of mental health, and cultural competence. This is a flexible, self-employed role – you can complete as many or as few assessments as you choose, to suit you! We pride ourselves on the support and development we offer to our Experts – free monthly peer supervision, ongoing CPD opportunities, mentoring for those who are new to court work, as well as quality assurance and proof-reading support. ‘As a social enterprise, MCTS is the partner of choice for clinicians who value giving back as well as making a living.’ How does it work? • Your primary task will be completing complex psychiatric assessments of children and adults and writing reports for pre-proceedings or family court., • This is an affiliate, self-employed role., • You can pick and choose how much work you take on at any time with no pressure or minimum commitment., • Assessments can be virtual or face-to-face., • Our dedicated referrals co-ordinator will get to know your experience and availability and send you referrals that we think might suit – you let us know whether you’re interested and available., • £80 to £85 per hour (paid within 30 days). Up to 15 hours for an adult assessment (£1,275) or 25 hours for a child or adolescent (£2,125). Travel time and expenses are paid in addition., • When you’re ready to submit your report, we have a robust quality assurance process to support you and ensure the highest quality and consistency which includes support from a clinician as well as proof-reading and formatting support from our admin team., • We pay you within 30 days of filing your report, so you don’t have to worry about chasing payments from referrers!
