An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant join my clients team in their Horsforth offices on a hybrid basis. My client is a growing independent accounting firm with a fresh and innovate take on accounting. They work with a variety of clients, from local business to multi-million enterprises. Role & Responsibilities: You will be given a wide range of responsibilities and be supported to successfully develop in your career and typical duties will include: • Preparation of self-assessment tax returns • Preparation of annual and corporation accounts • Preparation of VAT returns • Handle HMRC queries and correspondence • General admin tasks as and when required • Management of client financial records and bookkeeping • Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and email • Commit to personal professional development and share knowledge with peers Requirements: • ACA or ACCA qualified (Part Qualified will be considered) • Experience working in an accounting practice • Proficiency in financial management, accounting, and bookkeeping practices, including preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts • Knowledge of tax preparation, tax compliance, and understanding of UK tax regulations • Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis • Familiarity with accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Effective communication and client relationship management skills Benefits: • Competitive Salary depending on level and experience • Yearly pay reviews • Flexible and Hybrid-working after probation • Staff days out and rewards • 20 holiday days plus bank holidays – yearly increase and ability to buy 5 extra days. • Supportive and easy-going firm with a positive office environment • Lovely setting by Horsforth Park Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.
