Axon Moore are working with a business operating in the Property sector to appoint a Client Accountant. The business operates multiple sites within commercial property and covers a lot of other disciplinaries, making it a one stop shop. This is a small, but vibrant company with great growth prospects and people at the heart of their focus.\n\n The role looks after all financial management and reporting for their client portfolio, ensuring all transactions, reconciliations and reporting is completed in accordance with RICS and other regulatory requirements. You will work with the Property, Facilities and wider teams, making it an integral role in the business. \n\n Salary and benefits:\n\n Salary - £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, 27 days holiday plus banks, 6% pension, hybrid working 3 days in, 2 out, 37.5 hours p/w with flexibility around core hours, Medicash, 2x life cover, employee assistance schemes. It’s safe to say this business really looks after the staff with a relaxed environment and social calendar. \n\n Responsibilities include:\n\nMaintain accurate financial records in line with RICS Client Money regulations\nPrepare regular client statements, reports, and reconciliations\nDeliver timely management information to clients and internal teams\nAct as the main contact for client accounting queries\nReview and validate financial data before reporting\nCollaborate with Property & Facilities Managers on budgets and financial alignment\nManage all client money transactions (rent, service charge, insurance, ad-hoc)\nReconcile bank accounts, tenant deposits, and holding accounts\nMaintain accurate, up-to-date ledgers and balances\nEnsure proper invoice approval, coding, and financial governance compliance\nSupport internal controls, audits, and financial compliance requirements\nPrepare and review service charge budgets and year-end reconciliations\nEnsure accurate recording and allocation of expenditure and recoveries\nMaintain data accuracy across systems and ensure full audit trails\nCommunicate with clients, tenants, and teams while driving process improvements\nExperience & Skill Requirements:\n\nExperience in a Service Charge/Client Accountant role, preferably commercial property.\nAAT or relevant accounting qualification.\nUnderstanding of VAT and RICS regulations.\nGood knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables etc).\nPreferable to have experience of using a Property Management system such as Cube, Yardi, etc.\nAbility to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines.\nDemonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail.\nWork and communicate in a mature, courteous and professional manner.\nStrong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills.\nIf you would like to hear more about this role, please get in touch with Harriett Busby at Axon Moore
