Responsibilities: - Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and mise en place for various dishes according to recipes. - Cooking: Follow cooking methods and procedures to prepare and serve meals, while maintaining consistency and quality. - Kitchen Organisation: Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and storing ingredients properly to prevent cross-contamination. - Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and replenishing food supplies, ensuring that stock levels are adequate for daily operations while minimizing waste. - Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times, including proper handling and storage of raw ingredients, cooking foods to safe temperatures (logging), and maintaining cleanliness standards. - Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods, communicating effectively and assisting each other as needed. - Quality Control: Assist in inspecting food products for freshness and quality, and report any issues or discrepancies to the kitchen manager. - Adherence to Procedures: Follow standard operating procedures and recipes provided by management to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation. Requirements: - Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred. - Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. - Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced kitchen staff.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
