It's about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch.\n \nWe currently have the following opportunity:\n \nDepute Head Teacher (PKC13760)\n£71,820\nInch View Primary School, Glenearn Community Campus, Perth\n \nThe Depute Head Teacher at Inch View will support the Head Teacher in providing strong, strategic leadership for the school and will play a key role in securing high‑quality learning experiences and positive outcomes for all pupils.\n \nThe post holder will contribute to the leadership and management of Inch View Primary School which is large and diverse, promoting a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and continuous improvement. They will lead and manage various aspects of learning and teaching, support staff development, and work collaboratively to move the school forward on its improvement journey.\n \nPlease note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.\n\n\nSkills & Experience Required\nProven experience of effective leadership within a primary school setting, with the ability to support, motivate, and challenge colleagues.\n \nStrong resilience and emotional intelligence, with the capacity to remain calm, solution‑focused, and professional in a fast‑paced and demanding environment.\n \nA clear track record of leading and managing high‑quality learning and teaching, including monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of practice.\n \nAbility to build and sustain excellent relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external partners, promoting a positive, inclusive school culture.\n \nExperience of contributing to school improvement planning, self‑evaluation, and driving change to improve outcomes for learners.\n \nStrong understanding of inclusive practice, equity, and wellbeing, particularly in a diverse school community.\nHighly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage difficult conversations sensitively.\n \nExcellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.\n \nExcellent IT and digital skills, with confidence in using technology to support learning and teaching, staff development, data analysis, and school communication.\n \nA clear commitment to professional learning, reflective practice, and ongoing leadership development.\nWorking at Perth & Kinross CouncilWe have a vision of a confident and ambitious Perth and Kinross, to which everyone can contribute and all can share.
