Technical Services Manager Data Centres Permanent Position £60,000 to £80,000 We are unable to offer visa sponsorship including candidates on a PSW. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and shortlist potential M&E partners during the Tender process., • Assess and track the performance of key M&E subcontractors across quality, safety, programme, and value., • Act as the escalation point for any MEP issues and manage them to a successful conclusion., • Establish and promote a strong Safety culture within the team., • Ensure the implementation of Safety Management and Environmental Management Systems on all projects from a Tech Services perspective., • Build and resource the M&E team, selecting appropriate team members for individual projects., • Promote inclusivity and a positive team ethic within the M&E team., • Develop the skill levels of individuals and teams through coaching and mentoring., • Manage the project team's performance, holding them accountable to agreed goals and standards., • Review tender documents to ensure M&E packages are cost-efficient and perform due diligence on M&E sub-contractors' packages., • Manage escalated variations and build strong relationships with M&E consultants., • Identify new opportunities to increase the client base through fostering relationships., • Oversee projects to ensure QMS implementation and compliance with industry standards., • Ensure successful M&E delivery through overseeing the commissioning, demonstration, and handover process., • Perform duties of an M&E Coordinator where required on specific projects. Job Requirements: • Third level qualification in Building Services or a related discipline or a qualified trade (Mechanical or Electrical)., • Significant experience in construction, including at least five years as a Services Co-ordinator., • Proven track record of seeing projects through to completion., • Understanding of design requirements and the client's brief., • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture a positive working atmosphere., • Ability to work autonomously and deliver results without close supervision., • Results-oriented with a strong drive to deliver M&E services to the team., • Demonstrated responsibility and accountability for actions. The Role The Bid Coordinator will play a key supporting role in the development and delivery of winning bids across the business. The Bid Coordinator will work closely with the Bid Manager to coordinate all administrative, logistical and document control aspects of the bid lifecycle, from opportunity tracking through to submission and post bid reviews. You will help to establish and embed our bid management processes, maintain the bid library and knowledge base, manage deadlines and ensure that every submission is well organised, compliant and professionally presented. Main Duties & responsibilities Support the Bid Manager throughout the full bid lifecycle , from opportunity identification, qualification and document download to submission and post bid feedback Maintain the bid pipeline tracker, ensuring opportunities are logged, updated and monitored against deadlines Download, organise and maintain tender documentation from procurement portals, ensuring all relevant documents are available to the team Create and maintain bid folders, file structures and document naming conventions for each opportunity Support the completion of standard selection questionnaires, supplier registration forms and compliance documentation (e.g. Form of Tenders) Assist with formatting, proofreading and checking responses for accuracy, consistency and compliance Upload and submit final documents on e-tendering portals, ensuring all instructions, file limits and formatting requirements are followed precisely Manage the clarification process with the client including making sure the bid team are kept fully up to date with clarifications/document changes etc. Support teams to prepare for site visits and interviews including presentations and briefing on the team on the Bid Promises Manage any post submission correspondence with client team, through to conclusion Support the creation and maintenance of a central bid library, ensuring approved content (case studies, CVs, policies, templates and model responses) is current and accessible Maintain a register of mandatory company documents and certificates (e.g. insurance, accreditation's, ISO certificates, policies) and ensure they are always up to date for bid use. Skills & Knowledge Experience in a coordination, administration or support role, ideally within bidding environment Experience of using portals would be advantageous but is not essential. Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines, track progress and coordinate inputs from various stakeholders High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong document control and version management skills Strong written communication and proofreading ability, with good grammar and presentation Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document formatting Familiarity with e-tendering portals and basic understanding of public sector procurement processes Proactive and solution-focused, with the ability to spot gaps or risks in documentation or process and raise them early Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
