Want to step away from the tools while still staying connected to the trade? We are launching a brand-new Electrical Installation Apprenticeship programme and are looking for an industry professional to step into a rewarding Electrical Tutor / Electrical Trainer / Apprenticeship Assessor role. No previous teaching or training experience is required – full support and training will be provided to help you move into education and gain relevant teaching and assessing qualifications. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new apprenticeship programme from the ground up across Ashbourne and Nottingham, supporting the next generation of electricians.Key Responsibilities • Deliver Electrical Installation training to apprentices (Level 2 & Level 3), • Teach practical and theory-based electrical engineering content in line with apprenticeship standards, • Provide 1:1 coaching and small group support to apprentices, • Assess learner progress in both classroom and workplace environments, • Conduct on-site workplace assessments and apprentice reviews, • Track, record and report learner progress, attendance and achievement, • Work closely with employers to support apprentice development, • Adapt delivery methods to suit different learning styles and experience levels, • Create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environmentWorkshop & Programme Development You will also play a key role in building and shaping a new electrical training facility, including:, • Supporting the setup of a new electrical workshop / training centre, • Helping design practical training layouts aligned to qualification requirements, • Contributing to the development of the Electrical Installation Apprenticeship curriculum, • Creating high-quality practical tasks and learning resources, • Ensuring training reflects real-world electrical installation environments and industry standardsWhat We’re Looking For, • Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent Advanced Craft qualification), • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671), • Strong background in electrical installation / domestic / commercial electrical work, • Excellent communication skills and ability to support learners, • Patient, approachable and supportive attitude, • Ability to explain technical electrical concepts clearly, • Teaching & assessing qualifications desirable but not essential at application stage Salary & Benefits, • Salary up to £42,000 (depending on experience & qualifications), • £4,000–£8,000 annual performance bonus (OTE), • Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week, • Full training and support to move into teaching and assessing, • Opportunity to gain recognised education qualifications, • Career progression as the apprenticeship programme grows, • Modern training facilities and supportive team environment, • Genuine opportunity to shape a new electrical apprenticeship offer Perfect For: Electricians, electrical installers, maintenance electricians, domestic electricians, commercial electricians, or electrical contractors looking to move into roles such as:, • Electrical Tutor, • Electrical Trainer, • Apprenticeship Assessor, • Electrical Instructor, • Electrical Training Officer
