JOB DETAILS Job Title: Residential Support Worker Company: Accalia Care Services LTD Accalia Care Services is a Residential Childcare Provider based in Oldbury, Moseley, Yardley Wood, and Kings Heath. We are currently seeking Residential Support Workers with a passion for working with young people. Preferably, candidates should have experience of working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. Caring for children always involves a high degree of personal responsibility. The primary role of the Residential Support Worker (RSW) is to work as part of the staff team in a children’s home under the direction, guidance and supervision of the home management team. RSW’s are required to conform to appropriate standards of conduct at all times and to be mindful that they serve as important role models to the children in their care. Shift patterns consist of 8am - 11pm + a sleep in till 8am the next morning (15 hour shifts) The establishment provides a stimulating and engaging environment for Children and Young People, which requires staff members who are enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking. Previous experience of working within residential childcare settings is preferable, however we will consider relevant transferrable experience and skills. Candidates must be willing to complete a Level Diploma in the Children and Young People's Workforce, alongside working in our homes. You will be required to work on a shift basis, which includes nights/sleepovers and weekends.
