Were recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and respected business supplying and supporting garage equipment across London, the M25, and the Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on engineer with experience in mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, lifting equipment, or similar service environments. Youll be working on customer sites, carrying out service, repair, fault finding, installation, and maintenance on a wide range of workshop equipment. The Role As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, youll work from home and travel to customer sites across the region, supporting the service and repair of essential garage and workshop equipment. Your duties will include: • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing tyre changers, wheel balancers, and vehicle lifts, • Carrying out mechanical fault finding, diagnosis, and breakdown repair, • Working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, • Completing planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work, • Installing and commissioning new equipment on customer sites, • Completing job reports electronically via tablet, • Liaising with the service department and customers professionally on-site, • Field Service Engineer, • Mechanical Engineer, • Service Engineer, • Maintenance Engineer, • Garage Equipment Engineer, • Hydraulic Engineer, • Workshop Engineer, • Lift Engineer, • Plant Engineer, • A strong mechanical engineering background, • Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, or lifting equipment, • Previous experience in field service, maintenance, or workshop repair, • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability, • A practical, self-sufficient, hands-on approach, • Basic electrical knowledge would be useful, but is not essential, • Basic salary from £42,500 depending on experience, • Overtime available to significantly increase earnings, • Company van, • Fuel card, tools, tablet, and phone provided, • Home-based, field service role with day-to-day autonomy, • Full product training and ongoing support Youll enjoy: • Independence and trust in a home-based role, • Variety across different customer sites and equipment, • The chance to develop specialist product knowledge, • Long-term security with an established employer Apply now to be considered for this Field Service Engineer Mechanical Bias position.
