The Opportunity We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Fitness Engineer to join our expanding team. Based in and around Bristol, this is a field-based role covering the South West. You’ll carry out inspections, servicing, repairs, and installations of commercial fitness equipment across a diverse client base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and taking pride in delivering high-quality, customer-focused service. Key Responsibilities • Routine Servicing & Inspections, • Carry out scheduled inspections and maintenance of gym and fitness equipment across schools, universities, leisure centres, and commercial facilities. Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards., • Diagnosis & Repairs, • Identify faults and carry out mechanical and basic electrical repairs. Work on a wide range of equipment including treadmills, rowers, resistance machines, and exercise bikes from leading brands such as Technogym, Origin, Matrix, Life Fitness, Pulse, and Concept., • Equipment Installations, • Deliver, assemble, and install fitness equipment at client sites. Ensure all equipment is correctly positioned, tested, levelled, and fully operational before handover., • Client Communication, • Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts. Explain inspection outcomes, repairs carried out, and any further recommendations. Always represent us with a positive and professional approach., • Tablet-Based Reporting, • Use a company-issued tablet to complete digital reports, log parts used, take photos, and submit job outcomes in line with company procedures., • Vehicle & Stock Management, • Keep your company van clean, roadworthy, and fully stocked. Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure commonly used parts and tools are available for efficient service delivery., • Health & Safety Compliance, • Always follow Health & Safety policies, including the use of PPE and on-site risk assessments. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others., • Team Collaboration, • Work independently while maintaining communication with your team, supervisor, and head office. Attend briefings and training when required, and support colleagues when needed., • Additional Duties, • Assist with occasional warehouse or HQ-based tasks. Be willing to travel further afield or stay away overnight (Monday–Friday) when required.
