A national RBCA are currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to operate in the vicinity of Huntingdon. The home-based autonomous role will suit a Class 2A or 2B RBI looking to specialise in residential developments throughout the construction process. Building Inspector responsibilities • Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance, • Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records, • Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates, • Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate, • Operate in accordance with QMS procedures, • Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors, • Attend client meetings as required Building Inspector requirements • Class 2A / 2B / 2D Registered Building Inspector (or otherwise actively engaged in the registration process), • Construction-based experience, • Experience of residential developments from foundation to completion, • Interpersonal skills, • Effective verbal and written communication skills, • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and environmental concerns, • IT literate Benefits • Starting salary circa £48,000 - £55,000, • Company car / car allowance, • Bonus, • Healthcare, • Payment of 2 professional subscriptions, • Ongoing training and development For more information regarding the Building Inspector vacancy or to discuss similar positions please contact 01332 505506.
