Job title: Manufacturing Technician Location: Radway Green Salary: £47,418 inclusive of 25% shift allowance (£37,935 basic salary) What you’ll be doing: * Ensuring processes are maintained and operated in a safe manner and escalate issues affecting safety within the given production area * Ensuring that work undertaken adheres to relevant quality standards and provides support in the implementation of quality improvement projects * Operating of manufacturing processes and facilities to meet production programme requirements * Supporting implementation of continuous improvement activities * Identifying, raising and implementing solutions to safety, quality and production problems Your skills and experiences: Essential: * A time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment (minimum NVQ Level 3) * Experience of working within a fast paced production environment whilst conducting planned maintenance work * Experience in the setting and operating of manufacturing plant and equipment * Experienced in fault finding with root cause, corrective and preventative activities Desirable: * Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) * Experience with pneumatic and automated systems Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Manufacturing team: The Manufacturing Team has developed into a stable and well-functioning unit operating on a 3 shift rotating system of 37 hours per week. The three shifts consists of Monday to Thursday 8hrs per shift and Friday 5 hours per shift at a 25% shift enhancement. There are opportunities for overtime which has a 25% enhancement in the week and a 60% enhancement on the weekend above base rate. Why BAE Systems?
