The infrastructure consists of many technology stacks, i.e., AWS, GCP, Cassandra, Kafka, etc. which provides a great opportunity to learn and develop code to implement and administrate the technologies What you'll do • Be the Lead on multiple delivery projects while work on day-to-day BAU and support tasks., • Proactively create and deliver infrastructure as code to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our internal or customer-facing services, • Lead Troubleshooting and problem solving, • Create new designs, architectures and standards for new projects or solutions to improve current infrastructure, and contribute to the stability and security of the environment, • Help with capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning, defining processes and best practices for reliable and timely delivery, • Communicate work status regularly with a clear articulation of design choices along the way.What you'll bring, • Proven experience in solving technical issues, managing technical projects, and mentoring engineers., • Background working in a multi-technical Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) department, with the ability to break down complex problems and deliver practical solutions., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and peers., • Demonstrated ambition and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving digital environment., • A solid track record in both technical roles and mentoring responsibilities., • Technical competency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Nagios, Icinga), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) including deployment and automation., • Hands-on experience with CDN tools (e.g., Akamai, Fastly), networking (load balancing, routing, switching), databases (SQL/NoSQL, ideally Cassandra), scripting/system programming (Python, Bash, Go, Java), and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform)., • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Concourse, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and virtualization technologies (VMWare).Please note that there is an on-call working rota for this rolePlease note that there is an on-call working rota for this role Team overview Global Streaming Technology Our team develops and supports market-leading video streaming services, underpinned by state-of-the-art engineering principles.
