Family Solicitor Locations: Blackburn A fantastic Legal 500 firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to join its Private Family Law team based in Blackburn. This opportunity is ideal for a dynamic and experienced Family Solicitor who is ready for a new challenge. Key responsibilities: • Family Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, private children’s issues and domestic abuse cases, • Representing clients at court hearings, • Providing clear and professional legal advice, both written and verbal, • Communicating with clients, opposing parties, courts and third parties to progress matters effectively, • Supervising and mentoring Paralegals, including delegation and training, • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards, • Collaborating with other departments on joint matters or projects, • Assisting in the development of business plans and supporting firm-wide initiatives, • Family Solicitor 3 + PQE or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights and Advocacy certification (or equivalent), • Experience handling a variety of family law matters including court proceedings, • Knowledge of Legal Aid processes, • Excellent client care and communication skills, • Ability to manage own caseload, meet deadlines and work to billing targets, • Strong organisational and IT skills (including MS Outlook and Word), • Commercially aware and aligned with the firm’s values Known for its down-to-earth approach and strong community roots, the firm is also consistently ranked among top legal directories.
