ABOUT THE POSITION: The Maintenance Planner leads the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and longevity of our equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting our production goals. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to optimize work processes and resource allocation. SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm with possible after hours as needed. WAGE: Salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually, subject to all required taxes and withholdings. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintenance Work Planning:, • Develop detailed work plans for all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks., • Specify all necessary tools, parts, safety procedures (e.g., Lockout/Tagout), and personnel required for each job., • Create clear, step-by-step instructions for technicians to follow, ensuring consistency and quality., • Estimate labor hours and material costs for each work order to support budgeting and resource management., • Scheduling and Coordination:, • Create and manage a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure work is completed efficiently and on time., • Coordinate with production supervisors to schedule maintenance during planned downtime or off-peak hours to minimize disruption to operations., • Adjust schedules in real-time to respond to urgent breakdowns or changing priorities., • Materials and Inventory Management:, • Work with the parts and storeroom teams to ensure all necessary materials and spare parts are on hand for scheduled work orders., • Initiate purchase requisitions for parts and services as needed., • Optimize spare parts inventory to balance availability with cost., • Continuous Improvement:, • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, chronic issues, and opportunities for improvement., • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, equipment history, and key performance indicators (KPIs)., • Contribute to the development of a proactive, rather than reactive, maintenance culture by supporting predictive and preventive programs., • Documentation and Communication:, • Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment files, maintenance records, and technical documentation., • Communicate job status, potential delays, and resource needs to all relevant stakeholders., • Lead weekly or daily planning meetings to review upcoming work and address any potential issues., • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification preferred, • 5+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a planner or similar role within a manufacturing environment., • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a solid understanding of industrial equipment and systems., • Proven experience with a CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Maintenance Connection, etc.)., • Adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job, • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings, sketch or redline existing drawings., • Demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work In-depth knowledge of plant operations and equipment, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities., • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments., • Strong computer skills (MS Project, Excel; Word; PowerPoint, Outlook), • Detail oriented and follow-through, • Ability to use discretion and judgment in decision making., • Able to foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration., • Strong leadership skills, team player, results oriented., • Well organized: able to set priorities/goals and maintain focus and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously. This employee regularly works with office equipment, materials, chemicals, wet floors and with wet equipment when on the production floor.
