Job DescriptionDescription: SUMMARY The Revenue Audit department is responsible for the daily auditing of revenue from all profit centers and areas. This includes but is not limited to HHR, Cage, and Food and Beverage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Revenue Audit is responsible for the daily audit of revenue that consists of HHR terminals, complimentary services/items, and food & beverage. This description is not all inclusive and the position does require additional audits to ensure the facility is following company policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines, state tax regulations, and other duties as assigned. Requirements: Review and verify daily transactions and reports for accuracy, including sales, refunds, and adjustments, ensuring all revenue streams are accurately recorded. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or variances from expected trends, and investigate the root causes. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on audit findings, including recommendations for resolving discrepancies and improving internal controls. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations, providing guidance on proper revenue recognition practices. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal audit procedures to prevent fraud, waste, and errors in financial reporting. Assist in the development and updating of revenue-related policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance. Participate in special projects, such as system implementations or process improvements, providing expertise on revenue accounting and auditing standards EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Degree in accounting is preferred. One-year prior accounting or auditing experience preferred. Candidate must possess problem solving skills and have an exceptional attention to detail. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the KHRC.
