We are looking to add an Animal Care Attendant to our team at NY Dog Spa & Hotel 20th! CORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to): - Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet. - Sanitizes/disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas. - Provides clean bedding and ensures pet guests have clean water at all times. - Makes sure that each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food for each meal and maintains cleanliness of food prep areas. - Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of every pet guest; brings concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager. - Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day. - May be required to supervise group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests. - May be required to assist with bathing and brushing of canine guests. - Checks and picks up excrement from enclosures and other areas as needed throughout the day. - Monitors pet belongings; cleans belongings as needed; assures the return of pet belongings to owners. Carries pet belongings to storage area, front desk or to assist customers, as needed. - Performs daily laundering of pet bedding and towels. REQUIREMENTS: Expertise & Experience: - Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family! - Professional animal care/kennel experience preferred. - Displays a professional manner at all times. - Entry Level role. High school/ College/ Teenagers 16+ encouraged to apply. Physical: - Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. - Must frequently lift 40 pounds. - Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift. - Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently. - Must be able to handle dogs on leashes. - Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

We have a 180-hour paid training program. Your requirements for training are to purchase a special type of shoe, (oil resistant, slip resistant shoe.) Animal Care Technician You do not need qualifications, you are taught how to do the job, however the candidate must be responsible, work without supervision, have common sense, be able to multitask, able to work independently, be prompt, have work ethics and be able to retain what is taught. Please note if you have issues with being on time, or being to work period, being to an interview on time, this is not the job for you. Please note you would be working in a pet store; at times you may get dirty. The pet store is located in Paterson NJ 07513. This job is noisy, smelly and again can be dirty. Having worked in a restaurant previously and/or Bi-Lingual is a plus.

We are looking to hire a competent veterinary technician to provide compassionate patient care and positive client experiences. The veterinary technician will provide critical care nursing, triage patients, coordinate their care, and provide them with care before and after surgery by taking their vitals, performing phlebotomy duties, and providing intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections. You will discuss treatments and disease processes with clients, systematize and track patient diagnostics, and communicate with clients, veterinarians and pharmacies regarding patients' needs. Veterinary Technician Responsibilities: Triaging patients and taking their vitals, and acquiring patient history and other information from clients. Assisting with diagnostic procedures. Discussing treatment plans and estimates, and payment options with clients. Acquiring cephalic, saphenous, and jugular blood samples. Inserting IV catheters, and monitoring anesthesia, ventilators, and fluid therapy. Operating autoclaves and Anprolene sterilizers. Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory and submitting specimens to outside laboratories. Calculating medication dosages, and providing dosage instructions for clients. Entering patients' service charges into the computer database and keeping accurate patient records. Explaining patient instructions to clients and sharing educational materials. Veterinary Technician Requirements: Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an accredited school. 2+ years of work experience as a veterinary technician. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong affinity for animals. Outstanding people skills. Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Undeterred by being scratched and bitten by patients. Team player.

We are looking for a friendly pet groomer to perform all grooming-related duties necessary to ensure that pets are neat, clean, and look their best. The pet groomer’s responsibilities include bathing animals of various sizes and temperaments, trimming, clipping, or shaving hair/fur, and removing matted hair. You should also be able to ensure that grooming tools and equipment are in good working condition. To be successful as a pet groomer, you should be able to comply with pet owners' instructions as well as accommodate any special requests that they may have. We are looking for an experienced Dog Walker. He/she will visit the homes of clients to take dogs out for exercise, love and, on occasion, provide their meals as needed. The ideal person for this position understands the safety and priority of the animals in their care. He/she should be an independent and reliable self-starter with lots of energy and a passion for dogs. Responsibilities: • Exercise – Walk, run, or jog the clients’ dogs to provide daily exercise. • Other services – Pick up after the animals during the walk. Check the dogs’ food and water supply, and if needed, provide food and water to the animal after the daily walk. Communicate with the animals’ owners, (as required) and be aware of any medical needs observed during your run or walk. Answering any questions they may have. it’s mostly weekend jobs both Saturday and Sunday and are always fully booked but we do often get requests for weekday parties. I definitely need someone with good availability. Salary is $125 per party that is 1-2 hour long. Plus you get tips anywhere from $20-$50 for each party. Saturday and Sunday we usually always have 3 parties per day. the parties can be all over CT, LI , NJ , BK , NY but we don’t book more than 2 hours away from NJ. WE DO NOT PAY GAS, MILEAGE OR TOLLS.. you would pick the piggies up from me before your parties and return them when your parties were finished. Training is provided to you. Thank you!
