Where You’ll Work: IT Operations/ Information & Technology About the Role: The Director, IT Operations executes the strategy and leads the operations and delivery of core technology services across the enterprise including infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, AV, end-user support, and vendor performance. This role oversees IT procurement, manages the IT operations budget, and ensures the reliability and security of all technology services supporting the organization’s mission. This highly technical leadership position combines operational ownership with strategic oversight and requires expertise in modern cloud environments, endpoint management, AV infrastructure, and service excellence. What You’ll Do: Enterprise Infrastructure, Cloud Services & AV Systems * Architect and manage hybrid infrastructure (Azure AD, M365, Intune, VPN, SSO, SaaS) * Oversee AV infrastructure in conference rooms and public areas * Lifecycle planning for networking, device management, infrastructure services * Ensure performance, reliability, and availability of systems Vendor Management, Procurement & Financial Oversight: * MSP and third-party vendor oversight * Procurement, licensing, and contract management * Vendor negotiation, alignment with internal goals * IT budget planning and reporting * Cost optimization and collaboration with Finance Cybersecurity, Compliance & IT Service Operations * Cybersecurity: IAM, MFA, endpoint protection, vulnerability management * Compliance: audits, cyber insurance, data privacy * ITSM and service desk operations * Documentation, SOPs, ticket triage, root cause analysis Leads a Successful Team: * Develop and execute department strategy in alignment with the organization's mission, goals, and long-term objectives. * Leads a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Oversee department budget by monitoring expenses, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. * Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the department’s success and progress towards strategic goals. * Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive initiatives, resolve challenges, and support organizational growth. * Support talent development by overseeing recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staff performance management within the department. * Champion a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equity within the team, promoting positive employee engagement and team morale. What You’ll Need: Skills your resume should demonstrate: * Hands on experience in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, or technical service delivery * Leadership experience managing technical teams, IT vendors, and managed service providers * Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows Server, and hybrid cloud environments * Hands-on experience with AV systems (Zoom Rooms, Crestron, Logitech, Poly, etc.) and conference room technologies * Deep understanding of cybersecurity operations, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and policy enforcement * Successful track record managing IT budgets, procurement activities, and vendor contract lifecycles * Familiarity with network administration (firewalls, WAPs, VLANs), DNS, VPN, and modern endpoint management * Experience implementing or improving ITSM frameworks, ticketing tools, and service performance KPIs * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a service-oriented leadership style * Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation, or infrastructure monitoring tools a plus There may be some Physical Demands and Travel: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
