Job Description Position Summary: Forensic Behavioral Health Navigators help individuals with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders "navigate" the criminal justice and behavioral health systems- including the maze of treatment programs, courts, law enforcement, probation and parole, and community support services so that they can live successful lives in the community. Navigators reduce barriers that keep individuals with behavioral health challenges from getting timely treatment by identifying behavioral health needs and connecting individuals to appropriate resources and away from jail. The linkage is intended to divert individuals from further penetration in the criminal justice system, provide alternatives to arrest and incarceration, support reentry from jail. The Neighborhood Wellness Court (NWC) Behavioral Health Navigator will serve the Behavioral Health and Justice Division (BHJD) of the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbilities Services (DBHIDS) and the Office of Public Safety (OPS) at the intersection of behavioral health and criminal justice in the NWC. The NWC navigator will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, refer, and monitor individuals with behavioral health and substance use needs while navigating the NWC. Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW: The IPS program seeks to prevent youth from committing delinquent or criminal conduct through family intervention and by providing site-based programming designed to equip youth with strategies that will foster critical thinking and positive choices. The Case Manager helps guide the IPS participant down a path that will effectuate these goals. The individual selected for this position will provide home-based services and develop resources and activities that may need to take into consideration Police Diversion, Informal Adjustment, or Youth Aid Panel mandates and any other program designed to prevent court involvement. In some situations, the case manager will act as a liaison between the youth partner and his/her school, while encouraging caregivers to actively participate in the educational needs of youth. The IRLAS Supervisor will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs and initiatives that ensure equitable behavioral health access for immigrant and refugee communities, including Limited English Proficient (LEP) and Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DFHH) Philadelphians. Work includes supervising program staff in the review of ongoing programs, program and budget management, and evaluation of programmatic and operational activities. This individual will develop innovative strategies to improve behavioral health and wellness outcomes for immigrants and refugees, expand relationships with community and city partners, and lead cross-department collaboration efforts to achieve programmatic goals, related to language access and immigrant/refugee This position is currently grant-funded through December 2027. Additional steps are being taken to sustain the position beyond the expiration of the grant. Job Description Position Summary: The Department of Human Services (DHS) Finance Division is responsible for managing the agency's (approximately) $950 million dollar budget and all related financial and contracting functions. Job Description Position Summary: The First Judicial District Behavioral Health Trainer is responsible for training staff of the First Judicial District Court of Pennsylvania in behavioral health topics. These trainings are designed to increase the behavioral health literacy of First Judicial District Court personnel by, helping them to recognize signs that individuals they serve may be experiencing behavioral health challenges and refer them to the BHJD Resource Hub for connection to appropriate supports. Key trainings center on recognizing signs of behavioral health issues (e.g., Mental Health First Aid, Hearing Disturbing Voices), suicide prevention (e.g., Question, Persuade, Refer), and trauma-informed/trauma responsive care. This role is funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
