Job Summary Smart City is seeking a motivated, high‑energy Jr. Account Executive to help expand our commercial footprint across Orlando and Central Florida. In this hunter-focused B2B sales role, you’ll prospect new opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and promote Smart City’s FIA, Hosted Voice, and connectivity solutions to Small and Medium Businesses. The ideal candidate is driven, organized, tech‑savvy, and eager to grow in a fast‑paced telecommunications environment while contributing directly to our market expansion and revenue goals. Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: * • Broaden the company’s commercial footprint within Orlando and Central Florida, • Prospect/Hunt for sales opportunities and convert them into Smart City Metro customers, • Create sales opportunities via cold calling and networking in the field for a minimum of 3 days per week, • Specific focus on selling Smart City FIA and Hosted Voice services, • Specific focus on selling into On-Net and near net commercial buildings, • Specific focus on prospective Small and Medium Businesses within Central Florida territory, • Make outbound calls, perform premise cold calls, and complete appointments with potential customers, • Proactively self-generate leads, build long-term customer relationships, and prepare monthly sales forecasts, • Work with Smart City operating systems, management, and support staff in order to ensure effective communication and seamless installation process for customers, • Responsible for new growth within our markets, no account management, • Can understand and simplify complex challenges and deliver appropriate solutions, • Responsible for sales and revenue goals to meet or exceed overall company objectives, • Responsible for preparing customer proposals including accurate pricing and network designs, • Keep current on all Smart City’s product information and competitive landscape, • Confidence and expertise in using CRM tools to help prepare forecasts for sales management, • A vital interest in contributing to the success of the department’s goals, • Competency and experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Dynamics CRM, • Ability to quickly learn Smart City proprietary software and work in cloud-based technology, • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, • Eagerness to adapt existing processes to new, improved systems, • Excellent organizational skills, time management, initiative, attention to detail, and follow through with proficiency to exercise independent judgment, as needed, • Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to identify customer requirements, determine the appropriate solution, and continually exceed customer expectations through ongoing account management and engagement upholding Smart City’s service excellence standards, • Ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with structure, focus, determination, and self-motivation, • Ability to establish integral inter-departmental relationships and cross functionally with other teams in a collaborative, positive, and professional manner with uncompromising ethics and integrity, • Possess a proactive, rather than reactive, attitude within the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing, • Proven track record in quota driven SMB B2B business development, sales, and customer account management, • Demonstrated experience of WAN, LAN, and Enterprise Ethernet networks, • Thorough knowledge and experience selling voice and data services in business sector (VoIP, Hosted Communications, PRI, and SIP), • Effective prospecting and lead generation through cold calling and networking, • Enthusiastic and compelling sales presence with ability to expertly present solutions to customers and management, providing detailed quotes, while adeptly handling objections and negotiations to close the deal Working Conditions • Outdoor working environment with seasonal heat, cold, and other inclement weather conditions., • Driving company assigned vehicle to/from work sites in a safe and responsible manner during adverse weather conditions, heavy/light traffic, or at night., • Work sites include manholes, hand holes, etc. and will involve extensive walking on diverse types of terrain, working around objects and machinery in constructions areas, and may require confined space entry and ability to work in elevated areas., • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools;
