Job Description Our client is a real estate firm. They seek a temp Property Manager to join their Brooklyn, NY office. Responsibilities • Oversee move-in and move-out inspections, coordinate lease signings and renewals, respond promptly to tenant inquiries, and issue lease violations or notices as needed, • Handle income certifications, subsidy processing, and renewals for affordable housing programs, including Tenant-Based Vouchers, Section 8, FHEPS, ERAP, Tax Credits, and 421a, • Supervise staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders, property projects, and violation removals while maintaining building cleanliness and security, • Perform daily building checks, oversee annual unit inspections, and manage move-in/move-out inspections to ensure compliance and quality standards, • Communicate with residents regarding rent arrears, payment plans, and legal actions; review P.O. processes; and coordinate bill payments and ledger corrections with bookkeeping, • Administer rent-up processes, review income qualifications, and maintain adherence to Federal, State, and Local requirements, including LL52, LL84, LL87, and LL97, • Coordinate and attend property inspections (REAC, MOR, HQS, ENSPIRE), maintain documentation, respond to agency reports, and prepare annual notifications such as bed bug, energy, and lead paint reports, • Maintain accurate tenant files, prepare property management reports (quarterly, vacancy, legal, and retention), and ensure all records meet compliance standards, • Partner with social service agencies to facilitate tenant referrals, assist with relocations, and support residents in maintaining stable housing, • Participate in weekly virtual and in-person meetings with Ownership to review operations, financial performance, and compliance updates Requirements • Bachelor's Degree, • 5-7 years of experience, • 3+ years of supervisory-level affordable housing management experience, • Excellent leadership skills, • Strong computer and communication skills, • Experience with Yardi Voyager JobID: 47599 Company DescriptionAbacus Group is an award-winning executive search firm specializing in the permanent, temporary, and temp-to-perm placement of Accounting & Finance, Public Accounting, Administrative Support, Compliance, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, and Information Technology professionals across all industries.
