Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Handler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be involved in shipping and receiving tasks as well as production activities. They must be willing to learn different roles and contribute to various functions, including assembling adhesives and packaging orders. Responsibilities • Work in shipping/receiving or on the production team, being open to performing all related functions., • Help assemble adhesives and package orders for customers., • Operate wrapping equipment for packaging., • Create and enter shipping labels using the ShipGear or UPS system., • Enter information manually into the computer system., • Use a tape measure and scale accurately., • Ensure high attention to detail by comparing numbers, reading, and writing accurately., • Adhere to company policies, including no cell phone use during work hours., • Maintain punctuality and attendance.Essential Skills, • 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience., • 6 months of packaging experience, including operating wrapping equipment., • 1+ years of experience with ShipGear or UPS systems., • Ability to measure accurately, including decimal calculations., • Good math skills, including simple addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in warehouse operations., • Ability to pick and pack up to 50 lbs. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing and distribution company that specializes in high-temperature materials and adhesives. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, with a lunch break from 12:15 pm to 1 pm. The dress code is business casual, promoting a professional yet comfortable atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
