Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technician Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in a technical field. You will assist our technicians in performing tasks related to textile cleaning, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, helping to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: • Assist technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems., • Conduct routine inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance tasks under supervision., • Troubleshoot and identify issues with equipment, providing basic solutions., • Prepare tools and materials needed for technician tasks., • Keep the workspace organized and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained., • Document tasks completed and report any problems or issues to the lead technician., • Follow company safety protocols and policies while working., • Help manage inventory by tracking supplies and equipment., • Participate in training to improve your technical skills and knowledge., • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training or coursework in a technical field is a plus)., • Previous experience in a technical support role is a plus, but not required., • Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used (e.g., hand tools, diagnostic equipment)., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed., • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures., • Must pass background check and drug testing, • Competitive salary based on experience., • Training opportunities., • Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company.

Job DescriptionOpenwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Service Technician for a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in North Austin. In this role, you'll work with a team dedicated to servicing high-performance vacuum equipment used in industries like semiconductors and solar. You’ll be repairing and testing equipment such as turbo molecular pumps and power supplies, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. As a Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for: • Repairing, testing, and troubleshooting turbo molecular pumps, power supplies, and other vacuum equipment, • Following strict safety protocols and wearing proper PPE at all times, • Cleaning and decontaminating equipment according to company procedures, • Accurately documenting service work, photos, and reports for internal review, • Supporting inventory management and maintaining service parts, • Assisting in preventive maintenance on shop tools and equipment, • Keeping work areas clean and organized, • Providing occasional support with shipping/receiving and other general warehouse tasksWhat you’ll need:, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or technical repair environment preferred, • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools, • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods, • Basic computer skills and ability to follow detailed procedures, • Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained), • Strong attention to detail, team player, and safety-first mindsetPerks:, • Competitive hourly pay: $18–$24/hr depending on experience, • Career growth, • Vision, medical, and health benefits available, • Paid training and supportive team environment
