Job Description Security & Parking Supervisor Reports to: Facilities Director Status: Full-time | Exempt Supervises: Security Staff (Daytime and Overnight), Parking Attendants, Temporary/Outsourced Staff (Valet and Event Security Vendors) Position Summary The Security & Parking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing Westwood Country Club’s security and parking operations, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and professionalism of all services. This role supervises staff, manages schedules and timecards in ADP, approves staff breaks and ensures hydration, enforces parking policies, monitors the electronic gate system, maintains the security building, and coordinates with valet and event services. The Supervisor works closely with the Facilities Director, Events, HR, and department heads to provide security coverage, coordinate parking logistics, and respond to incidents. This position requires flexibility to work beyond standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and major events. The Supervisor actively participates in operations, provides hands-on support, trains staff on new policies and procedures, manages access control through the CellGate software system, and implements continuous improvements to departmental processes and communications. Operational & Departmental Leadership • Supervise, train, and mentor security and parking staff, ensuring compliance with club policies and regulatory requirements., • Flexibly manage staffing, schedules, and timecard approvals in ADP to maintain adequate coverage during daily operations, high-traffic periods, and major events., • Coordinate with Events, valet services, and other departments to manage parking, traffic flow, and security during events or peak periods., • Administer and maintain the CellGate access control software, including gate permissions, user updates, troubleshooting, and system integrity checks., • Coordinate and oversee any outsourced or contracted security vendors, ensuring alignment with Westwood’s safety standards, coverage needs, and budget parameters., • Order, schedule, and coordinate outsourced vendors for valet, temporary security, and shuttle services; monitor spending and work with the Facilities Director to remain within budget., • Maintain the security building in a safe, clean, and organized condition., • Conduct hands-on patrols and assist staff during major events, incidents, or periods of heavy activity., • Enforce parking regulations, address infractions, and collaborate with HR regarding employee parking violations., • Work with the Safety Committee to identify, report, and resolve safety hazards related to parking, grounds, entrances, and property access., • Maintain logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and timely., • Monitor departmental labor costs, overtime, and productivity., • Approve orders for uniforms, equipment, and supplies in coordination with the Facilities Director., • Maintain records of security incidents, parking violations, and operational procedures., • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in security, parking, or related operations., • Hands-on technical skills in security operations, parking management, and property monitoring., • Strong knowledge of event coordination, safety procedures, and access control systems., • Experience managing staff schedules, timecards, breaks, and hydration programs., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, and other operational software., • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred., • Prior experience managing security or parking staff in club, hospitality, or multi-facility operations., • Experience coordinating security and parking for large-scale events. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety manuals, operating instructions, and incident reports. Must communicate clearly and professionally with staff, members, vendors, and other departments. Reasoning Abilities The Security & Parking Supervisor must manage change effectively, be flexible, establish strong working relationships, and exercise sound judgment. Must inspect facilities, analyze safety or parking needs, and implement solutions independently or as part of a team. Physical Demands • Ability to work in heat, cold, and outdoor conditions for extended periods., • Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., • Climbing stairs or elevated surfaces when necessary., • Operating assigned equipment including vehicles, golf carts, and security tools. Tasks are performed in varying environmental conditions, including noise, outdoor exposure, and safety hazards. Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during major club events.
