Job DescriptionDescription: Position Overview Nelson Miller Group (NMG) is seeking a high-caliber General Manager, Plastic Injection Molding to lead and scale a $30M+ industrial, high-technology manufacturing business segment. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Operations, this role carries full P&L accountability and is responsible for strategic growth, operational performance, organizational leadership, and disciplined execution across operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and technical functions. This is a true business operator role — not a plant manager position. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience scaling industrial manufacturing organizations, leading cross-functional teams, and operating within highly regulated, quality-driven environments. Core Mandate • Own and drive full P&L performance for a $30M+ business, • Deliver sustained double-digit growth, • Lead complex, high-mix injection molding operations, • Embed Lean Manufacturing as a cultural foundation, • Operate within AS9100 and PPAP quality frameworks, • Scale the organization while maintaining cultural cohesion and operational discipline, • Integrate legacy workforce with new leadership talent Key Responsibilities Full P&L & Financial Leadership • Lead revenue growth, gross margin expansion, EBITDA improvement, and working capital discipline, • Own budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cost structure optimization, • Establish financial transparency and performance accountability, • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to scale the business at sustained double-digit growth rates, • Align capacity planning, supply chain strategy, and technical capabilities with growth objectives, • Lead and integrate operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and technical teams, • Establish KPI-driven accountability across all functional areas, • Drive collaboration between commercial and operational functions to support profitable growth, • Champion Lean Manufacturing as a cultural standard, • Lead structured continuous improvement initiatives tied to measurable financial and operational outcomes, • Improve throughput, cost efficiency, quality performance, and on-time delivery, • Lead operations within AS9100 and PPAP-driven environments, • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and industry regulatory requirements, • Support high-specification markets including medical, industrial, automotive, and commercial sectors, • Participate in executive-level customer engagement, • Successfully manage and unify legacy workforce and newly hired talent, • Maintain a tight, performance-driven culture grounded in accountability, • Partner closely with the VP of Global Operations and corporate leadership, • Align segment performance with enterprise strategy and global operational standards, • Ensure disciplined reporting, governance, and capital managementRequirements: Education • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related discipline) strongly preferred, • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations considered with demonstrated technical depth, • 15+ years of progressive leadership in industrial, high-technology manufacturing, • Demonstrated success leading and scaling businesses exceeding $30M in annual revenue, • Proven full P&L ownership with measurable EBITDA improvement, • Extensive experience leading cross-functional operational, supply chain, and technical teams, • Deep experience in plastics and injection molding environments, • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, PPAP, and structured quality systems, • Demonstrated history of leading Lean Manufacturing transformations, • Experience in high-mix, engineered manufacturing environments, • Enterprise-level operator with financial rigor and strategic discipline, • Proven ability to scale organizations while preserving culture and accountability, • Capable of managing legacy and new workforce dynamics, • High emotional intelligence paired with strong performance expectations Up to 20% travel required. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market alignment.
