Kentro is hiring a Senior System Architect to lead the design, development, and integration of enterprise-wide systems and solutions. The Senior System Architect will provide technical direction, define architectural standards, and ensure that business, application, data, and technology architectures are aligned to meet organizational goals. This role requires deep experience in system design, integration, and modernization, along with the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges. Responsibilities: • Serve as the lead architect, responsible for designing, documenting, and overseeing enterprise system architectures., • Develop architecture roadmaps, technical standards, and reference models aligned with enterprise strategy., • Translate business and mission requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-effective technical solutions., • Lead integration of applications, infrastructure, cloud, and data platforms across the enterprise., • Ensure system interoperability, performance, and reliability through effective governance., • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and trade studies to recommend optimal solutions., • Provide SME-level guidance and mentorship to engineering and development teams., • Research and recommend emerging technologies and best practices to support modernization. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field., • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in systems architecture, engineering, or enterprise solution design., • Proven expertise in enterprise integration, infrastructure design, and application architecture., • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), virtualization, and hybrid environments., • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, APIs, SOA, and microservices., • Proficiency in architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF, or Zachman)., • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert., • Experience working in large-scale Federal or DoD enterprise IT environments., • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and iterative development practices., • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to brief executives and lead technical discussions., • Active TS/SCI clearance required (must be current and verifiable).
