Job Description Title: MES Engineer Job Type: FTE – Direct Hire Location: Hybrid On-Site in Dallas, TX Job Summary Wright Technical Services is proud to represent a highly respected Industry Leader for this position. The Corporate Controls MES Engineer will focus on delivering business intelligence services, BI software development, and Power BI reports using our Control Systems, MES, and Power BI platforms. They will support new and upgraded Control System MES functionality at three facilities. Reporting to the Corporate Controls Engineering Manager or a Team Leader, they will collaborate with the team to ensure standards and processes for managing the Control System MES are followed. Mentoring will be provided to help understand the design and standards of the MES. Qualifications • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering related discipline from an accredited college/ university is required, • 5+ years working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably AVEVA, as a Programmer/ Engineer, • Required Technical Experience, • Ladder Logic Programming skill within Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix), • Advanced HMI Development (Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE, AVEVA Wonderware Archestra, iFix or Ignition.), • Expertise with Microsoft Servers, SQL Server and SQL database systems, • Expertise with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Excel, • Ability to write, update and troubleshoot existing SQL queries, • Preferred Technical Experience, • Experience with Wonderware (AVEVA) MES and the ArchectrA System Platform, • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C#, • Experience with Ethernet/IP Communication within a Plant Control System, • Experience with .NET programming environment, • Experience with data modeling, visualization, reporting and dashboard within Power BI and/or Tableau, • Microsoft Power BI Report Server (on-premises report Server) and Microsoft Power Platform (Cloud Based Services, off-premises reporting), • Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations, • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, • Knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling, • Competencies, • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, • Adaptability to changing business requirement, • AVEVA/ Wonderware's Archestra Control System including graphics, troubleshooting, objects, the necessary scripts, and MES applications as needed to provide the needed MES functionality and information for operations, • Modify and/or create some Microsoft Visual Studio C# applications, • AVEVA's Operations, Performance and Quality MES modules, • AVEVA Work Tasks Business Process Management (BPM) software, • Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that is based on AVEVA MES modules especially AVEVA's Work Tasks Business Process Management (BPM) software, • AVEVA's BI Gateway to consolidate and aggregate data from different sources, making it manageable and accessible including data warehouse functionality, • Rockwell PLCs as needed to provide the needed MES data and functionality, • Microsoft Power BI Report Server (on-premises report Server) and Microsoft Power BI Power Platform (Cloud Based Services, off-premises reporting), • Power BI data modeling, reports, dashboards, and infrastructure to meet the business needs and provide insights into key metrics, • Migration of SSRS and Tableau reports to Power BI, • Data feeds to external partners using Microsoft Sequel (SQL) Server Integration Services (2019+), • Microsoft Server, Microsoft SQL Server (2019+) and Microsoft Reporting Services, • Gathering and understanding of business requirements for data visualization and analysis, • Collaboration with engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes, • Creation of complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis, • A no-deductible, $0 premium option for employee-only health coverage, • 401(k) with 50% company match on first 8% of earnings you contribute, • Safe harbor and profit-sharing company contributions to 401(k), • Company paid short- and long-term disability coverage, • Company paid 2X annual salary life and AD&D insurance, • 4 weeks annual paid time off, • 20 floating holiday hours and 6 company paid holidays, • Extra time off for volunteering, • Tuition reimbursement, • Fitness membership reimbursement Eligibility: All applications current authorized to live and work in the United States on a Permanent basis are welcome to apply.
