Job Description Location: Maspeth, Queens, NY Job Type: Full-time Industry: Custom Millwork & Fabrication About Us: Yellow Factory USA is a growing architectural millwork shop in Maspeth, Queens. We produce high-quality custom cabinetry, paneling, and architectural components with a modern, water-based finishing workflow. We fabricate high-end custom cabinetry, wall panels, and architectural components for commercial, residential, and hospitality interiors. All work is performed in-house using advanced CNC, edgebanding, pressing, and water-based finishing equipment—no field carpentry or installation. We’re seeking an experienced Cabinetmaker / Shop Foreman to lead production, train team members, and help expand our modern fabrication operation. This position is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team from the ground up and grow with the company. Health insurance is offered after a 90-day probationary period. This is a hands-on fabrication and leadership role, ideal for someone who understands high-precision cabinetmaking and enjoys coaching others on machinery, workflow, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee production process, from purchasing materials to final product, and ensuring timely completion., • Supervise shop personnel and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications., • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and design plans; translate into clear work plans., • Operate and train team members on our Joos pneumatic heated press and Biesse Akron 430 edge bander., • Organize and delegate tasks efficiently., • Perform quality checks and troubleshoot installation issues as they arise., • Set daily/weekly priorities, delegate tasks, and track progress across multiple jobs., • Maintain an orderly, OSHA-compliant shop; conduct toolbox talks and safety checks., • Perform in-process and final QC; troubleshoot fabrication/installation issues., • Oversee materials, hardware, and inventory, and flag shortages early. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in architectural millwork or custom cabinetmaking., • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and technical drawings, • Skilled with cabinet construction, joinery, and precision layout., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team., • Proficient operating and maintaining edgebanders, presses, and other woodworking machinery., • Familiarity with CNC workflows and water-based finishing systems preferred., • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel within the NYC area., • NYC SST and OSHA 10/30 certified (or obtained shortly after hire).
