American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Mission Hills, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/22/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in a hospital ICU specializing in cardiovascular, multi-trauma, neuro, and overflow critical care, • Level II Trauma, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center with a high-acuity neuro population, • Care for patients including stroke, STEMI, CABG/Valve/IABP, CRRT, sepsis, surgical, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, and ortho cases, • 12 additional ICU overflow beds and expected to float to PCU or ICU overflow units as required, • Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 19:00–07:00, • No weekend or on-call requirements, • Utilizes Epic EMR for charting, • Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting, supporting a wide range of trauma and neuro cases, • Must be willing to float to other like units and all facilities within the state as needed, • All requested time off must be declared at time of application; must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays, • Return staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and live outside a 50-mile radius, • Locals are accepted, though local rate rules apply, • Any color scrubs permitted, • Free parking is available on site, • Completion of required online modules prior to start and annually is expected\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration, • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience, with strong neuro background, • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, LA Fire Card (must be current within last 30 days), • Experience in a high-acuity and trauma setting required, • Epic EMR experience strongly preferred, • Must provide 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years covering at least 1 year in a comparable specialty, • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
