Job Description The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's server, network, and cloud infrastructure. This role supports enterprise systems across on-premises and cloud environments, ensures adherence to IT standards and security policies, and provides tier II/III technical escalation. As the organization continues its long-term evolution toward Azure cloud adoption, this position will play a key role in supporting and shaping that transition. This position may also serve as a mentor for junior team members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Manages hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises (Windows Server, VMware, Azure Local) and cloud environments, with an ongoing focus on Azure adoption., • Performs cloud migration projects including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecture, balancing cost-effectiveness with scalability., • Monitors system performance, capacity, and security across servers, network devices, and critical applications., • Participates in and helps mature Disaster Recovery planning, including annual testing and documentation updates., • Provides tier II/III support for escalated technical issues across the IT environment., • Contributes to system architecture decisions, technology selection, and infrastructure roadmap planning., • Conducts research and evaluates new technologies to improve reliability, efficiency, and security., • Implements and supports new systems, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, rollout, and documentation., • Manages hybrid identity (SSO, Azure AD/Entra ID,MFA, Conditional Access) and RBAC., • Manages VDI Environments (Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktops,Nerdio)., • Administers Microsoft 365 products (Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint,Teams, etc.)., • Administers BI reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau)., • Administers system monitoring platforms (e.g.,LogicMonitor, SolarWinds)., • Administers pharmacy management and monitoring platforms., • Manages firewall rules and policies., • Manages NetScaler load balancing policies., • Collaborates with security teams to ensure compliance with best practices and corporate security standards., • Supports additional projects or tasks as assigned by IT leadership., • Assists other IT teams during peak periods or major incidents., • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and shift rapidly as business needs change, • Demonstrated experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud migration., • Advanced knowledge of:, • Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016–2022, • Hypervisors (VMwareESXiandAzure Local), • Citrix environments (administration and support), • Office 365 Management, • Active Directory and Azure AD, • Intune device management, • Platform monitoring tools (E.g:LogicMonitor, SolarWinds), • Working knowledge of:, • Microsoft SQL Server, • PowerShell scripting, • Power Automate flows, • Veeam Backup & Replication, • Microsoft Dynamics 365, • SentinelOne, • Zscaler, • Mimecast, • Illumio, • Cisco ISE, • FortiAuthenticator, • ThreatLocker, • Preferred, • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, or configuration management tools, • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, security) Required: • Minimum 5+ years of technical experience administering enterprise Windows environments. Salary Range: $90,000 annual Pentec Health offers a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package.
