Promoting skill acquisition and behavior change which aligns to the promotion of child well-being outcomes. POSITION SUMMARY: Family Support Case planner supports and stabilizes families involved with Child Welfare or in crisis utilizing the Solution Based Casework model to prevent out of home placement. Case work counseling is provided and/or referred to address issues concerning Intimate Partner Violence, Mental Health concerns, Substance Use, and School difficulties. Home visits are required to assess the safety of children. POSITION SUMMARY: A Caseworker works with children and youth who reside in a foster home as well as family members and other adults serving as supports to the young person. In addition, we support our foster parents, who can either be relatives or could be individuals who are not related to the children. Caseworkers work as a team with Socio-Therapists to provide supports to the children, the birth families and the foster parents to ensure that every child is making progress towards permanency. PROGRAM BACKGROUND: Mercy First partnered with ACS to establish a new Clinical Support Program to serve families experiencing challenges with unmet clinical needs in the borough of Queens. The Clinical Support program is an interdisciplinary team of licensed clinicians and support staff, all of whom support families navigating challenges in the areas of mental health, addiction, and IPV. The Clinical Support team works with CPS Teams and/or directly with impacted families to ensure optimal service delivery. The team assists with family engagement approaches, with assessing/screening for the most pressing needs, and with identifying and facilitating connections to relevant resources. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for general oversight and administration of all aspects of programming and will report to the Vice President. The qualified candidate will provide leadership, direction and support to the program’s supervisory staff and their respective clinical teams. The Program Director must possess previous experience in providing services to IPV families and families with substance use disorder histories. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring all the requirements of the program regulations are met, that staff are recruited, trained and properly supervised. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • The Director of Clinical Services position requires an LMSW with 5-10 years of clinical supervisory experience or an LCSW or Licensed Psychologist with 5 years of clinical supervisory experience., • Strong leadership, administrative and supervisory skills with the ability to monitor and implement high volumes of workflows, as well as leading an interdisciplinary team of 21 professionals., • Familiarity with navigating electronic platforms such as Connections for documentation reviews., • Strong working knowledge of mental health, substance use and IPV. The ability guide and direct managerial staff in all 3 areas of practice, providing regular supervision and adherence to best practices., • As with all Child Welfare related positions, this role will require a robust background check, and a clean driving record is encouraged. R.N. must assess resident on admission, transfer, and/or discharge. POSITION SUMMARY: The Socio-Therapist Supervisor will provide direct supervision to the Socio-Therapists working with the casework teams to assure that assessment, development of behavioral modification plans, and support to children in foster care are provided with a commitment to collaboration, compassion, and competency. The Socio-Therapist Supervisor works with the socio-therapists to help develop individualized behavioral plans that address behavioral challenges presented by the children on their caseload. They will oversee the socio-therapist’s delivery of one-to-one behavioral intervention methods and services designed to strengthen the child’s ability to function successfully in home, school and community settings. The Socio-Therapist Supervisor will maintain clear lines of communication and collaboration with the case planning unit supervisors as Socio-Therapists will be assigned to cases within a specific case planning unit to work as part of the team to promote safety, support, assessment and achievement of behavioral modification/treatment goals. The Family Team Conference Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and tracking all agency-led conferences, utilizing the Family Team Conference Model. The facilitator will ensure the safety and well-being of each child and family is assessed through a strength-based lens.
