Key Responsibilities • Prepare, season, and grill jerk chicken and other menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards., • Operate and monitor the outdoor grill, including cooking temperatures and timing., • Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining consistent food quality., • Keep the grill, cooking area, and equipment clean, organized, and sanitary., • Prepare and organize ingredients and supplies needed for service., • Assist with portioning, packaging, and serving as needed., • Communicate with the kitchen or management regarding food levels, supplies, and equipment needs., • Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Qualifications • Previous grill or commercial kitchen experience required., • Experience preparing jerk chicken or Caribbean-style food is a plus., • Knowledge of food safety and proper cooking temperatures., • Comfortable working around heat, smoke, and an active outdoor grilling environment., • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently., • Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed. The Chef will be responsible for preparing authentic Caribbean cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, flavor, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Caribbean cooking traditions, enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and takes pride in preparing flavorful, authentic meals that provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic Caribbean dishes according to established recipes, standards, and portion sizes. Demonstrate knowledge of Caribbean flavors, spices, seasonings, cooking techniques, and traditional dishes. Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, rice, sauces, sides, and other menu items. Ensure food is consistently fresh, flavorful, properly seasoned, and attractively presented. Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion control. Assist with menu development and contribute ideas for new Caribbean-inspired dishes and specials. Properly store, label, date, and rotate food products using appropriate food-storage procedures.
