Job Description About the Role: The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy Strategic Partnerships Specialist comfortable negotiating commercial terms, evaluating partnership opportunities, and operating at the intersection of real estate, technology, and AI-enabled products. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this position plays a critical role in launching, managing, and expanding strategic technology partnerships. This high-visibility role blends partner management, business development, and negotiation, with responsibility for identifying, advancing, and negotiating additional partnership opportunities aligned with REBS and C.A.R.’s strategic priorities. Job Title: Strategic Partnerships Specialist Reports To: Chief Business Officer Group: Real Estate Business Services (REBS) Compensation Range: $75,000 to $95,000 annually FLSA Status: Non-exempt Benefits: Competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, PTO, and more! Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Partner Launch & Management • Support the successful launch and ongoing management of key partnership, • Translate contractual agreements into operational plans, timelines, and success metrics, • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for partner coordination and issue resolution, • Ensure contractual obligations are met and performance is tracked and reported Business Development & Partnership Sourcing • Identify, research, and qualify potential partnership opportunities aligned with REBS objectives, • Monitor trends in real estate technology, AI-enabled solutions, and adjacent markets, • Conduct preliminary diligence on potential partners, including product fit, market relevance, and business model, • Advance qualified opportunities through internal review and approval processes Negotiation & Deal Advancement • Lead or support negotiations of commercial partnership terms, including scope, pricing, revenue share, marketing commitments, and performance benchmarks, • Structure and negotiate partnership proposals within established strategic and financial parameters, • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and internal stakeholders during negotiation and contract development, • Prepare deal summaries and recommendations for leadership review and approval Partner Growth & Expansion • Identify opportunities to expand or enhance existing partnerships over time, • Support renewals, amendments, and expansion of commercial relationships, • Participate in partner performance reviews and strategic planning discussions Enablement, Communication & Adoption • Support development of partner-facing and internal materials that clearly communicate value propositions, • Assist with webinars, presentations, and member-facing education efforts as requested, • Translate technical or AI-driven concepts into practical business use cases for real estate professionals Other Duties • Support broader REBS strategic initiatives as needed Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or related roles, • Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements or partnership terms, • Experience working with or selling into the real estate industry, proptech, fintech, or professional services, • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple initiatives independently and escalate issues appropriately Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree, • Experience with SaaS or technology partnerships, • Familiarity with AI-enabled products or platforms, • Experience supporting product launches, pilots, or new market initiatives, • Comfort working cross-functionally with legal, finance, product, and marketing teams Key Skills and Attributes for Success • Sound judgment and comfort negotiating within defined parameters, • Ability to balance relationship-building with commercial discipline, • Organized, proactive, and comfortable operating with limited supervision and in a remote environment, • Curious, adaptable, and motivated by emerging technology and innovation, • Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ChatGPT (or similar model) Travel • Conferences up to three times per year, minimal additional travel may be requiredCompany DescriptionApply today to take the next step in your career with one of California’s most influential professional organizations.
