What You Will Be Doing We are hiring an Analytics Engineer to support one of our largest operating brands. This role is responsible for delivering trusted, actionable operational reporting in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, improving data consistency, and enabling operational leaders to manage performance proactively. This position is hands-on and execution focused. You will work closely with field operations, finance, data engineering, and corporate stakeholders to translate operational requirements into durable and actionable reporting solutions that drive accountability and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position located in Tampa, FL. Analytics Engineer Duties & Responsibilities Operational Dashboarding & Reporting • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into operational performance, compliance, and risk indicators, • Partner directly with operations leaders to gather requirements, scope reporting needs, and validate outputs, • Develop standardized operational reporting frameworks that enable consistent performance management across regions and teams, • Deliver insights that support operational efficiency, service quality, and risk mitigation, • Build reporting solutions tailored to regional operations while maintaining alignment with enterprise-level metrics, • Integrate data from operational systems, enterprise systems, and supporting applications to create unified analytical views, • Own the operational data model for the assigned brand, including core dimensions, metrics, and semantic definitions used in reporting, • Partner with data engineering and source system owners to ensure operational data is modeled accurately and consistently in Microsoft Fabric, • Define and maintain brand-specific metric logic while aligning with enterprise data standards, • Evaluate the impact of upstream system or process changes on the operational data model and downstream reporting, • Use SQL extensively to explore, validate, and transform data within the analytics data warehouse, • Develop and maintain warehouse-based views and datasets that power PowerBI semantic models and operational dashboards, • Write performant, maintainable SQL to support complex operational reporting and analytical use cases, • Partner with data engineering to define transformation logic, optimize queries, and improve data model performance, • Apply data standards, metric definitions, and validation rules to ensure consistent interpretation of operational metrics, • Audit and reorganize Power BI workspaces to reduce redundancy, clarify ownership, and improve discoverability, • Maintain change documentation for Power BI semantic models and Fabric assets supporting operational reporting, • Create and maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and reporting logic, • Train operational users on how to interpret metrics and use self-service analytics responsibly, • Develop shared knowledge resources to reduce reliance on institutional knowledge and ensure continuity, • Support onboarding of future analytics team members as the function grows Analytics Engineer Requirements & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years work relevant work experience., • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related role., • Experience supporting operations, service delivery, or field-based organizations., • Advanced experience with Power BI, including semantic models, DAX, and dashboard design., • Experience working in Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud analytics platforms., • Advanced SQL proficiency with experience working directly in a data warehouse environment., • Experience building analytics-ready datasets, views, or marts using SQL., • Strong understanding of relational data modeling and analytical data structures (facts, dimensions) Experience working with operational or transactional data., • Ability to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions., • Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders., • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-moving environment. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with data governance principles and metric standardization., • Experience integrating data from ERP, CRM, and operational systems., • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and usability principles., • Experience creating training or enablement materials.
