About the Role Nabis is seeking a resourceful, systems-minded Operations Manager to join our Rochester warehouse. This role is for a true operator. Someone who asks questions, thinks through edge cases, and continuously fine-tunes the machine. Youve built while in motion, and youre energized by ambiguity rather than slowed down by it. This is a hands-on, full-time role that requires flexibility, resilience, and grit. Youll own the day-to-day rhythm of the warehouse while also shaping how that rhythm evolves. Success in this role means deeply understanding our processes and customer needsand then challenging how we execute against them. The ideal candidate has operated in high-growth environments. Whether at a startup, a scrappy regional operator, or a company scaling in real time. Youve built systems from scratch, tested assumptions others take for granted, and thrive when the playbook is incomplete or needs to be rewritten. Youre cross-functional by nature, comfortable operating under pressure, and able to bring a team along as things change quickly. Responsibilities Partner closely with the New York Operations Director, Supervisors, and Associates to keep inbound and outbound operations running smoothlyand proactively flag when the current approach isnt working • Track daily performance and lead with coaching first, developing team capability rather than managing to metrics alone, • Own SLA compliance by monitoring volume and solving bottlenecks before they escalate, • Drive market OKRs and KPIs (DOTIF, quality of service, inventory accuracy), while forming and testing your own hypotheses to improve performance, • Audit and evolve SOPstaking ownership of redesigning processes that arent working, • Build flexible, resilient staffing models that adapt to volume fluctuations, • Collaborate cross-functionally with Central Ops, Engineering, Finance, and People as a peerbringing solutions, not just problems, • Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners; ensure stakeholders are never waiting on updates, • Ensure full compliance with state and federal cannabis regulations, including inventory tracking and reporting, • Own vendor and supply chain relationships with a partnership mindsetnegotiating, iterating, and holding partners accountable, • Approach operational inefficiencies as product problemsleveraging data, tools, and process design to continuously improve performance Qualifications • Experience operating in a startup, high-growth, or resource-constrained environment; comfortable building systems from the ground up, • Systems-oriented mindsetfocused on solving root causes and documenting learnings, • Naturally inquisitive; you question existing processes and propose better alternatives, • Experience running operational experiments (A/B testing, pilots, iteration based on data), • High EQ and low egoyoure willing to jump in wherever needed and lead by example, • Strong communicator across all levels, from frontline associates to senior leadership, • 2+ years managing teams of 30+ in warehouse, logistics, or high-throughput environments, • Proven ability to drive and influence KPIs by understanding underlying levers, • Data-literatecomfortable pulling data, building simple models, and making decisions independently, • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, or similar operational tools, with a track record of driving adoption, • Experience designing or overhauling SOPs, not just maintaining them, • Background in supply chain, project management, or quantitative analysis (formal or self-taught), • Must be 21+ and available on-site MondayFriday, • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move throughout the warehouse, • Cannabis industry experience is a plus; curiosity about a complex, regulated, fast-moving industry is essential Compensation and Benefits: • You'll work at the fastest-growing cannabis startup in the U.S., • Medical/Dental/Vision offered to all full-time employees: 75% of employee premium paid by Nabis Nabis is seeking to create a diverse work environment because all teams are stronger with different perspectives and life experiences.
