Your Role Each day begins with reviewing project documentation to understand system requirements, assembly details, and build expectations. You'll work with a variety of mechanical tools and equipment to assemble automation systems with precision and efficiency. Quality will be a constant priority-you'll inspect components, verify assemblies, and ensure every build meets ATC's rigorous standards. Collaboration plays a major role in your success. You'll partner with engineers and fellow technicians to troubleshoot issues, document processes, and propose improvements that enhance system reliability and performance. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment is essential to ensuring both safety and build excellence. What You'll Bring Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You should be comfortable interpreting detailed mechanical drawings and schematics, understanding automation system requirements, and applying hands-on skills to complex mechanical builds. Effective communication and teamwork will help you stay aligned with project goals while upholding ATC's commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Required Skills and Experience • 2+ years of experience in custom machine building or automotive repair, • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment such as mills, lathes, and grinders, • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable in fast-paced environments, • Proficiency using inspection tools to verify precision components and assemblies, • Experience building or troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems, • Understanding of PLC, robotic, or related software programming concepts, • Background in troubleshooting or optimizing machine vision, robotics, sensors, and safety systems, • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and general machine safety standards, • Work in standing/sitting position continuously., • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor., • Physically be underneath machines working overhead., • Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally., • Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently., • Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, • VISUAL ACUITY: Near acuity with or withoutaccommodation This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
