Job DescriptionMedical AssistantJob Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy clinic. This role is essential in delivering efficient, high‑quality patient care while supporting both clinical and front‑office operations in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Accurately collect and document patient demographics and medical histories, • Triage patients based on presenting symptoms and urgency of care needs, • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels, • Assist with maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records (EMR), • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures as required, • Provide patient education, instructions, and support, • Schedule appointments and assist with front desk operations as needed, • Verify insurance information and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes, • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Required Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast‑paced clinic or urgent care environment, • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows, • Medical Assistant Certification, Registration, or Diploma, • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Reliable transportation, • Bilingual (English/Spanish a plus), • Experience with spirometry testing & phlebotomy, • Onsite position at a primary care/urgent care clinic, • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
