Location: New Parkland Hospital This position will follow a day shift schedule, with working hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including weekend days. PRIMARY PURPOSE Responsible for providing health care for patients in designated primary or specialty area, including patient diagnoses, treatment, education, and referrals. Serves as a resource and role model for clinical practice, training, evaluation and direct management of practitioners and students in all areas encompassed by the service line to ensure optimal patient care quality. Trains, supervises, and evaluates APP students and contributes to the education of residents, interns, and other healthcare trainees. This particular role will be part-time with desired availability for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Others may be assigned. • Obtains history and vital signs, and documents in the electronic medical record system., • Assists in the examination and procedures for patients with provider., • Assists with documentation of dictated patient notes., • Answers telephone calls and messages within the same day., • Monitors labs and X-ray results., • Reviews the providers schedule throughout the day and prior to the start of shift to ensure patient flow., • Participates in performance improvement activities, staff trainings, weekly team huddles., • Reports errors or issues promptly to supervisor., • Maintains security of medical records and patient’s health information according to HIPAA standards., • Communicates orders of medical supplies to the team., • Follows through with customer inquiries, requests and complaints.
